ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY

“ENGAGING, FUNNY, HEART-BREAKING… A HYBRID UNLIKE ANY OTHER, IT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED” - Tom Roston, PBS POV Doc Soup

The title may make you squirm but this documentary will definitely leave you inspired. Following his controversial debut "Cowboys in Paradise", indie filmmaker Amit Virmani's latest documentary is a profound and entertaining tale of how Arunchalam Muruganantham, a school dropout became one of India's most visionary social entrepreneurs through his oddball quest to produce low cost sanitary pads, made by rural women for rural women. Discover how one man fought through ridicule and rejection to create a surprisingly innovative solution that would improve women's health, economic opportunity and personal dignity in one fell swoop.
